Trine is a platformer game that has gained itself critical acclaim since its original release in 2009. Now, it has been announced that Frozenbyte’s Trine 3: The Artifacts of Power will not be exclusively on Steam Early Access, but it will launch on 20th August.
For those of you who aren’t too familiar with the Trine series, Trine is an action/puzzle game, in which players can take control of 3 different characters in order to progress past an objective. The previous installments of this game were, and still are, available to download on PlayStation Network as a full game or a demo. These games are thought-provoking and can be played with a friend via online multiplayer. For anyone who is unsure whether to purchase Trine 3, perhaps taking a look at a demo from a previous title is something to consider.
There are different compatibility points to address though. For instance, Windows’ version will be available on Steam, GOG, as well as Humble. Whereas, for Mac and Linux, fans of Trine will have to wait until later in the year. That isn’t all, as there are plans for Trine 3 to be made in to a console game.
The launch price for this title is to be £15.99, going up from £14.99 in the Early Access, and included in that price, there will also be a soundtrack by Ari Pulkkinen. Let us know what you think of this news, your thoughts on the Trine series, as well as plans for Trine 3 becoming a console game.
